Learn a Language Online at the Rapid City Public Library

Rapid City Public Library is proud to offer the Rapid City community an exciting new online resource, Mango Languages.
Mango Languages is a self-paced online language program which offers a variety of languages which you can learn in the comfort of your home including: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Greek, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese as well as English as a second language for Spanish, Polish, and Brazilian Portuguese. Mango is intuitive and fun and includes high quality audio to help you learn the correct pronunciation as you learn the language at your own pace.

Mango uses real-life situations and conversations to teach you a new language and it is simple to use. You will learn more than just words or phrases; you will learn how to communicate. Mango keeps you motivated by helping you to apply what you have learned to an immediate real world situation. The goal of every lesson is to turn you into a functional speaker. Whether you are a traveler, businessperson, student, Mango can help you succeed.

Mango is designed to save you time so you can learn the language quickly and easily. This program was designed by teachers and linguists so you know you are learning from experts. Lessons are broken into bite-size chunks so you don’t get overwhelmed and virtual tours guide you through each lesson so you always have help if needed. Mango also offers quizzes in each lesson to test your retention and recall so you can monitor your progress.
